Prometheus 2.10.0 is now out, following on from 2.9.0 with many fixes and improvements.

Once again there have been TSDB postings improvements, meaning faster queries on lots of series. A new special metric scrape_series_added has also been added, which will help find targets that are causing churn.

Kubernetes service discovery adds endpoint node and hostname, while Azure adds the public IP. There are new variables for templating, and the UI for alerts is improved.

There's one minor breaking change, for those using the alerts API the value is now a string rather than a float (as we do on the query APIs) to properly support non-real values.

There’s also a number of improvements, bug fixes and other changes, see the release notes for more detail.
